Your Holiness,

Four years ago, You graciously granted blessings for the Rimay Monlam, a nonsectarian Tibetan Buddhist Peace Prayer Convocation. We last wrote to You two years ago with a report following the 2013 program.

We have now successfully held three annual Rimay Monlam programs at Garrison Institute, along the Hudson River in New York State, after five smaller annual programs at Blazing Wisdom Institute. This event remains solely dedicated to sharing pure aspiration prayers for all to receive the blessings and benefit of dharma.

Each year, we hold a special evening program paying tribute to one of the great Rimay Lamas who helped to establish Tibetan Buddhism in the West. Last year, we honored Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche, including with an original 90 minute video featuring nine Lamas from among his many western and Tibetan disciples.

Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of this non-profit, non-sectarian event. We are planning to hold it in Europe for the first time, at the Gephel Ling retreat center in southern Portugal, from May 16 to 21, 2016.

It is my greatest honor to inform Your Holiness that for this auspicious 10th anniversary program, we wish to pay tribute to You, the most important Rimay master of our times. We are not requesting anything from Your Holiness, although of course Your prayers and good wishes would be welcome, and a great blessing for our efforts.

Sincerely Offered by Your Devoted Student,

Tulku Sherab Dorje
